sampled sounds?

jeeze, you got first also? hahaha congradulations!

i do agree with the other guy that you have too many sampled sounds in this for it to be original...sorta takes away from it being first...it would've been a nice fourth-placer though, with your First Round being fifth.

since there's alot of use of sampled sounds (and since i don't know FL that well...) i can't really give a sincere review of this song. good try though.

you have alot of talent, i want to see what you can churn out if you really work hard. keep trying! cheers an g'day.

Haha thanks for your review..
But I don't use FL.. I use Magix Music Maker.. :D

good.

Congradulations on A-Bot 4th of the week!

the melodic structures of the beginning don't quite work...and clash quite a bit. i'm sure this was done on purpose to create tension, but it's a little much...

also, i hear alot of sampled sounds in there...i don't use FL (which is what i'm guessing you used), but i can tell there's alot of sampled sounds in there (especially that breathing/whispering sound towards the end)...

otherwise, really good stuff! keep it up! cheers an g'day.

nice

dude, this piece is really nice...nice and clam. have you ever played pikmin before? it just reminded me of that game...like a space scene hahaha. anyways, the piece gives a really distant, detached, type feel...it would be really cool in a space scene in a cartoon of some sort.

keep it up dude! cheers an g'day.

SPaZGHoST responds:

Thanks. I did this on my clavinova while I was bored.

crazy dude...

everything about your songs are so diverse, i love it...like others have said, every creation from you is completely different and so imaginative.

the only problem i have with this song (and most your other songs...) is that the drum beat is too homogenous (someone else said it before too). vary your drum beats a bit more, and you'll be unstoppable. having them a little quieter would be nicer too...they were a little too "in-your-face" in this song.

awesome song, the loop version of this song is perfect. keep it up.

Reason forever. cheers an g'day.

very nice

it sounds like star wars gone x-files. very much a unique version in a sea of overdone remixes. very nicely done.

cheers an g'day.

nice

hey, this track is nice! (i'm A-Bot #2 this week by the way. thanks for reviewing mine!). i don't think this is worse than my piece at all, it sounds very good. the beginning sounds very trance-ish, and seeing that most of your other songs are mostly trance, it gives this song a bit of your own flavor, very nicely done. a little more variation after the main beat comes in would be cool, but otherwise it's perfect. good job, keep it up!

rise my young apprentice...

the force is strong with you! a powerful sith...err...i mean heavy metal writer you shall become! henceforth, you shall be called...umm...oh nevermind.

good job. cheers an g'day.

Hehehe thanks dude :P

craziness...

this sounds nice. like the other guy said, it's like well-structured choas hahaha. i haven't heard the original...but this one sounds good. good job.

SpamWarrior responds:

Thank you kind sir, what i like most about it is that i'm never sure if its in tune or not, as it is both and neither :) A zen track then :) Yay reviews make me happy. The original's are massif (stay strong) by squarepusher) and amusment arcade by monkeybullman/kingbastard. Monkeybullmans track may no longer exist on NG, you'll have to look :S

nice, i like

nice dude, very good ambient piece. i don't like the main synth so much, but that's just me hahaha (sounds too N64ish? i don't know...). but anyhow, i really like the second part, where the synth changes. and i also like the quiet bass in the background...not sure what it is, sounds like an acoustic bass, but whatever it is, it's cool. everything fits nicely, good job!

RyeGuyHead responds:

it is an acoustic...very smart! N64 was good while it lasted.....which was like three months.

nice, nostalgic feel

first off, the criticism. i can hear some clipping (or a limiter peaking out) on the crash hits (that's why i docked clarity)...on that note, the drums seem a little too in-your-face, you know what i mean? it would be cooler to have 'em muffled, and in the background. some of the melodic lines get repetitive too (which is the eight for diversity), but not too much.

the song overall, though, is very nice. i like the melodies and the feel. congradulations getting featured author! keep it up!

cheers an g'day.

subsonic responds:

thanks! i see where your coming from. i might try the muffled drums next. thanks for the review!
