jarrydn responds:

Hehehe thanks dude :P

craziness...

this sounds nice. like the other guy said, it's like well-structured choas hahaha. i haven't heard the original...but this one sounds good. good job.

SpamWarrior responds:

Thank you kind sir, what i like most about it is that i'm never sure if its in tune or not, as it is both and neither :) A zen track then :) Yay reviews make me happy. The original's are massif (stay strong) by squarepusher) and amusment arcade by monkeybullman/kingbastard. Monkeybullmans track may no longer exist on NG, you'll have to look :S

nice, i like

nice dude, very good ambient piece. i don't like the main synth so much, but that's just me hahaha (sounds too N64ish? i don't know...). but anyhow, i really like the second part, where the synth changes. and i also like the quiet bass in the background...not sure what it is, sounds like an acoustic bass, but whatever it is, it's cool. everything fits nicely, good job!

RyeGuyHead responds:

it is an acoustic...very smart! N64 was good while it lasted.....which was like three months.

nice, nostalgic feel

first off, the criticism. i can hear some clipping (or a limiter peaking out) on the crash hits (that's why i docked clarity)...on that note, the drums seem a little too in-your-face, you know what i mean? it would be cooler to have 'em muffled, and in the background. some of the melodic lines get repetitive too (which is the eight for diversity), but not too much.

the song overall, though, is very nice. i like the melodies and the feel. congradulations getting featured author! keep it up!

cheers an g'day.

subsonic responds:

thanks! i see where your coming from. i might try the muffled drums next. thanks for the review!

Nice use of sounds

i really like the panning sound FX you used, but the whole thing gets very repetitive.

as a fellow Reason 3.0 user, here are a few tips...try variating your drum beat more. if you use the pattern sequencer in ReDrum, don't. use the sequencer window instead and put notes in the drum lane of ReDrum's sequencer track. also, try multiple drumbeats, it adds flavor. sometimes, a quiet Dr. Rex track compliments your ReDrum track nicely, just experiment.

by the way, come check out things on my end of Reason 3.0. author: Ted-Johnston. and leave me some reviews too! what goes around comes around ;)

very nice, you're improving alot over your older pieces. good job. cheers an g'day.

Jhalkompwdr responds:

I usually do use the sequencer for drums, but I made this music specifically to be ignorable. Who concentrates on the music in a space sim?

No.
